Taylor Arrington Harber is a TikTok creator who amassed 1.5 million followers through sharing her experiences as a convict who spent 2 years in jail. And now she might be re-living all that.
On July 7th, Taylor was pulled over and then charged with driving under the influence (DUI). She was spotted by a Sheriff's Officer deputy who reported that Taylor's truck failed to "maintain a single lane crossing both the center lane divider and fog lines several times". She was pulled over and found to have a blood alcohol level of .163. The legal limit in Florida, her home state and location of arrest, is .08.
You can read the police brief about the incident here (scroll down because there are other briefs).
Now Taylor was on probation when this incident occurred, and this behavior was obviously a violation of that. She turned herself into Clay County Jail on July 20th, where she is being held without bond.
Her probation stemmed from her first offence. She was found guilty of committing armed robbery back in 2017 after a man was hit in the head with a gun during a drug deal. Taylor was sentenced to 2 years of jail time and 4 years probation for the offence.
You already know I headed to Reddit to see what insider stories people had to share, and found this comment:
I am from her home town and we used to frequent the same bars about a year ago when I was going out. I was a tiktok fan of hers so that’s how I knew who she was. I started seeing her out every single weekend at a country bar in town and she was always all over the place acting a fool. I thought it was weird that she preaches on tiktok about being a changed person and being this great mother but it didn’t seem like she was ever with her child. Then one night she was acting a fool dancing around wasted and stepped on my feet with her boots and the third time she did it I pushed her off of me and told her she was stepping on my feet and her response was that “shit happens” she then flipped her hair in my face and put her fists up at me. And I think that’s when I really realized that her entire tiktok account was fake because she is not only a bad mother but she preaches about people being nice and she is not a nice person. I’m not at all surprised she got a dui. And I can guarantee that this was not the first second or third time she made this “mistake” but the first time she got caught. I don’t feel bad for her and I’m not surprised one bit. - ProfessionalSense798 on Reddit
Of course Taylor took to TikTik to explain herself. She stated that she was prepared to take full responsibility for her actions but also don't you dare say anything mean or else you're the asshole. Sounds like deflection babe.
Her subsequent TikToks have all been about "staying strong" and perseverance. It's up to you, the viewer, to decide if she means staying strong when you're told driving drunk is bad, or if she has to stay strong for another stint in jail. We'll see.
@taylerarrington Its been a rough, eye opening, reflective and overwhelming few days. I am working on forgiving myself and working towards a better me.
