Mama Tot's Son Killed Days Before 19th Birthday

A popular TikTok creator known as Mama Tot (real name, Ophelia Philips) is reeling after the tragic murder of her son. 

The youngest of her three children, Randon Nichols, was killed by gun fire outside of a gas station in Mobile, Alabama, on June 24th. Randon was just 18 years old and set to turn 19 the next day.

Mama Tot turned to her almost 7 million followers to share her grief and plead with her followers to turn in any information they may have about the killers.

“I ain’t never asked y’all for anything, but I need your help with this. There’s almost 7 million people that follow me. Somebody’s got to know something.” - Mama Tot, in a TikTok

A GoFundMe fundraiser was set up for Mama Tot, which was already raised over $250,000.

As of June 25th, Mama Tot shared that the police have a lead on two possible individuals. Here's hoping the perpetrators are caught.

June 28 Update: it seems Randon was killed during a marijuana deal. Poor kid. Another reason the "war on drugs" needs to come to an end. Any time you needlessly criminalize something, it then adds high stakes and that's when people start carrying guns with them. No one's been shot over a vodka sale gone wrong. Legalize that shit so people can smoke their doobies and go home alive to their moms.
